Recent review by : B Redmond on 08/08/2006 My wife and I stayed at the Hotel des Mines the first week of June 2006, and very much enjoyed the stay.
Finding the hotel was very simple, with a short walk from the Metro, and it is in a great location near Jardin du Luxembourg on Boul-Mich . Although the requested room was not available (higher floor with a street view), this was through no fault of the staff, with construction underway on the face of the building.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, and I enjoyed practicing my language skills in conversation with them. The rooms were kept very clean, with daily visits by the cleaning staff. Although we did not avail ourselves of the daily breakfast, it looked very satisfying.
Room sizes are on the small side, and the walls are very thin, but this is to be expected from most hotels in any large city. Even with the small room size, the en suite bathroom was comparatvely very large!
We thought this hotel was a great place to stay in Paris, and would definitely stay there again in the future. Guest rating : 8/10 (more reviews) (add a review)
