Recent review by : Alex on 05/05/2007 Comoda location per il centro città. Vicina la fermata del metro. Ottima la zona con via pedonale piena di locali per la sera. Camere accettabili buon compromesso prezzo/qualità per una città come Parigi. Guest rating : 7/10
Recent review by : yitzel morales lugo on 23/11/2006 IM NOT SATISFIED WITH THE INTERNET SERVICE, WE DID OUR RESERVATION, WE HAD OUR CONFIRMATION AND WHEN WE WENT TO THE HOTEL THEY SAID THAT DIDNT HAVE OUR RESERVATION!!! THAT WAS TERRIBLE BECAUSE WAS 11 PM,
AND WAS REALLY HARD TO FIND ANOTHER AT THAT TIME,WHEN WE SUPPOSED TO HAVE A ROOM THERE!!! FOR US WAS A TERRIBLE SERVICE, BUT THE GUY FROM THE RECEPCION WAS VERY NICE AND HE APOLOGIZE ABOUT IT, BECAUSE THE INTERNET SERVICE NEVER NOTIFY OUR RESERVATION, AND HE HELPED US CALLING OTHERS HOTELS, HE MADE PROBABLY 18 PHONE CALLS!!!! HE DID FIND A HOTEL AFTER SEVERRAL CALLS, BUT WITHOUT A BATHROOM. WE ARE VERY DISAPOINTED. Guest rating : 3/10
Recent review by : Lillian, Portland, Oregon on 16/10/2006 My friend and I stayed at Hotel la Serre for four nights from 9/30/06 thru 10/3/06. We booked a standard double room. The rooms are small with not a lot of room for luggage and two people need to coordinate getting ready in the morning due to space constrictions. The rooms are clean and adequate (extra blankets, hair dryer, extra pillows). Per the hotel's information guide, the walls are thin and you can hear others next door and above and below. We did not have a problem with the noise. The hotel staff is wonderful and extremely helpful and most know English very well. The hotel's location was very good. We used the metro quite a bit and the station is just down the street and around the corner. We did not use the hotel's breakfast service. We did use the hotel's outside shuttle service to the airport and it is a good value and very timely. We would return to this hotel. It is a good value, location is good, and the staff is great. Recent review by : Joseph on 04/07/2006 The staff at this hotel was great. They were friendly and able to answer any question I had. They made my experience in Paris that much better. Guest rating : 9/10
Recent review by : Delphine Dubreuil on 19/01/2006 Very very lovely hotel, a complete change compared with the unstyled standardized hotels. The room was clean and warm (it was not electrical heating, which is very rare in Parisian hotels), the dining room was very cosy and elegant, the staff very polite and helpful. Guest rating : 9/10
Recent review by : Russell Marshall on 21/06/2005 Location makes this hotel rank high. I would not recommend it for a honeymoon but if you want something 10 minutes from the Eiffel Tower for a very fair price, this is the ticket! Guest rating : 9/10

Recent review by : Christine Ducommun on 11/01/2005 We stayed three nights in this very charming hotel. Staff was nice, service good and we really appreciated our stay.
We would only recommend that they change the phones!! The keys are unusable! Guest rating : 8/10
Guest rating : 9/10
Recent review by : Marcella Fresco-Kovalski on 11/12/2004 We were VERY disappointed with Hotel la Serrre; after dragging our suitcases over the market on which the hotel is located (no taxi access to front door) we found an elevator so small that only one suitcase and/or one person can use it. The rooms were very very small, even a double room; the bed UNCOMFORTABLE and the showerroom far too small for any person to take a shower. The hotel clearly was just taken over by new owners and maybe they will make some improvements but a couple of days later when we left, we stayed at a "suite hotel" and maybe it was modern compared to Hotel Serre but is was in fact 20 euro per night cheaper with fantastic comfort. Hotel would definitely NOT be recommended by us to any of our friends.Although ONE lady at reception spoke good french she made it sound as if it was a privilege for us to stay at the hotel; also our room was not available until 3.00 pm so our luggage had to be left at reception while we went out for some lunch. NOT IMPRESSIVE!!!! Guest rating : 2/10
Recent review by : Maria and Michael Frizziero on 05/12/2004 Our stay in Paris, was a magical warm experience which was enhanced by the lovely, friendly staff, at Hotel La Serre. The expertise and advice given by the staff was fantastic. And the location of the Hotel La Serre, was wonderful, close to metro, bus, delicious food boutiques and even supermarkets. Furthurmore to find a hotel, that was sympathetic to families with children. This was unexpected and really appreciated. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Guest rating : 10/10
Recent review by : Jakob Beierholm on 04/10/2004 Very good service, clean room and nice breakfast. Super location. Guest rating : 9/10
Recent review by : Rick on 04/10/2004 The location of the hotel is good as it is near Eiffel Tower or Invalides. The hotel room is ok, but the elavator and the hallway is very narrow. The hotel service and staff is not very friendly except for one staff that stays there during the night shift w/c is very nice. The old lady even ask us to do the cleaning ourselves and put the garbage in the bin outside. I will surely find another hotel if I will go back again in Paris considering the rate they charge us for a two star hotel. Guest rating : 4/10

Recent review by : Sheena Parry on 17/08/2004 don't worry about anything anyone else has to say, this hotel is great! Excellent location, friendly staff, very helpful and full of infomation, OK the corridors and lift were narrow, but the rooms were a fair size (compared to British Hotels of the same rate, they were huge!!) I would definately go and stay there again, and have no hesitation of recommending the hotel to anyone who is thinking of going there.Respect the hotel and they respect you. Guest rating : 9/10
Recent review by : Jim Wiles on 19/07/2004 Thie feedback is on the La Serre Hotel that my family stayed at from June 1 - 4, 2003. Thank you for asking for our feedback.
1) How long did you stay at the hotel ?
4 nights
2) How many rooms and what type did you book ?
Two rooms. One was a double, the other 2 twins.
3) How was the hotel (room, services, location etc..) ?
Room was nice
Location was excellent
4) were the staff ?
In general the staff was nice, but the lady who either owns the hotel or manages it was rude, condescending and dishonest. Because of her alone, I will not return. Not only did she make us feel like we had to apologize for asking questions, but she charged my credit card non-authorized additional charges after we had checked out for phone charges I had paid when I left. When I e-mailed to inquire about the charge, I was sent a note that did not address why I was charged when I had paid when I checked out. When I sent a second follow-up note, I was given no reply.
5) Will you return to this hotel ?
No, nor will I recommend it to anyone.
6) Did you use one of our other services, if yes which one (airport Transfet, Tours)?
No I didn't. We arrived by train.
7) If yes, were you satisfied ?
Your booking service worked great!
8) Will you use our service again ?
Yes

Recent review by : Pia Werner on 07/06/2004 We stayed in the Hotel for three nights and enjoyed it a lot! The rooms are very tiney and the tairway and elevator is a nightmare. Eiffel Tower is in walking distance, also busses and metro. The Hotel is located in an pedestrian street with a lot of fruit and vegetable booths, also nice restaurants and coffee shops around the corner. Parking is only possible in an official parking spot for 2€ per hour, exept on weekends. I definately can recommend it! Guest rating : 7/10

We have alredy begun to recommend it to friends.
We love Paris and will return and will stay at the La Serre. Our trip involved two weeks of hotels and it was the best for the buck.

Recent review by : John Lopez on 29/03/2004 Hotel was very small. Our room was located on the 4th floor and had a narrow spiral staircase which was actually a workout to climb. Part of the problem with the staircase climb or decent was that lights were on a timer sequence with a duration of @ 20 - 30 seconds and you would still be on the staircase completely in pitch dark. I can understand saving electricity but thought this was a little ridiculous. (Safety issue for older/handicapped type people.) I will say, that there was a small baggage type elevator, that was used by smaller individuals. Guest rating : 4/10

Recent review by : Gary on 19/12/2003 Good Afternoon.
I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights
I booked two double rooms
The hotel was very clean, small but compact, provisions were very good,
service was excellent, locality was ideal. One disappointment was that there
was no holder for the shower head it had to be hand held.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
I have already recommended the hotel to several colleagues and would
certainly consider using it again myself.
I would certainly consider using the service again.

Recent review by : Irene Prior on 19/10/2003 In response to your email wanting feedback on our stay
at Hotel La Serre...
We booked two rooms...twin beds for a total of seven
nights. The room was small,it was clean on
arrival, and location was good. Unfortunately, the
rooms were not cleaned on a daily basis, other than
making the bed. Bathrooms were not cleaned daily,
towels were not replaced daily and there was not
enough towels for two people in each room, and there
was no hand soap in bathrooms. Three days into the
stay the hotel owner(a woman) wanted to know if we
were having a water leak in the bathroom because one
of the towels was extremelly wet. I had no idea of
what she was talking about. She basically told me
that this was a two star hotel and that we needed to
re-use our towels because towels were not replaced
daily, not to put dirty towels in the tub,not to have
food in the room, and the list goes on. She was
rather rude and as it turns out, my sister had used
one of the hand towels for a wash cloth, since wash
cloths were not provided, hence the wet towel. I did
not appreciate being yelled at for something I had no
idea of what she was talking about. As far as the
staff, only one person was helpful, the rest weren't.
Asking for directions or information was usually met
with that they didn't know. Also the reception was on
the second floor and the elevator would not open from
the first floor unless you first climbed the stairs to
tell staff to open it.
Overall I was rather disappointed with the hotel, so I
would not return to this hotel and definately would
not recommend to others. As for using your service
again, I would have to really checkout the hotel
before making a booking.

Recent review by : Brian Hollar on 17/10/2003 This hotel could not have been more wonderful! The staff was attentive and friendly; the rooms, though small, were comfortable and clean; being in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower, the location could not be beat! I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to experience the finer things of Paris. 10 stars!!!!! Guest rating : 10/10
Recent review by : Jaana Pusa-Niemi on 17/10/2003 The location was perfect! Just around the Tour Eifel. The street was wonderfull with fruit and flowermarkets and cafes and chocolate shops. Hotel staff was very helpfull and kind. The hotel was worth the money we paid. Guest rating : 10/10

Recent review by : Edi B. Setyobudi on 03/10/2003 The room is amazingly small and cramped, though it is clean. The receptionist is at level 1 floor, it is a bit difficult for us since we carry a lot of luggage. I also had one problem with the staff, when I booked Golden Air Transport to the Airport, I asked for a help as to which terminal should I go, she said that the driver is an expert on this, so I shouldn't bother asking. The fact was the first thing the driver asked was which terminal would I go and I had no clue (looked so stupid isn't it). The other staff was so helpfull, where she helped with our luggage and stored them though we checked out.
Other than those, it is located close to the Eiffel Tower and close to many coffee shops Guest rating : 6/10
Recent review by : Conor Magee on 02/10/2003 We stayed at the Hotel La Serre on Rue Cler close to the Eiffel Tower. The location was great, however we had booked a double room and the only room available was a room with two single beds. The owner was not at all apologetic about this and simply told us there was nothing he could do. The room was o.k. except the bathroom was tiny. The rate was pretty cheap though. Overall, not particularly impressed. Guest rating : 5/10
Recent review by : Sion. on 18/09/2003 We stayed for 6 nights in a double room on fourth floor (small modern lift).
The room was small, but very clean, with good facilities (en suite shower, TV, Safe, telephone, all night porter), facing the very picturesque Rue Cler. Although no breakfast was available, there were facilities for storing, cooking and eating food in the first floor lounge/dining area.
Location is terrific; - wonderful street market and good transport connections.
Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent value for money in today's Paris.
We would be happy to return to this hotel, and use you excellent services again
