Recent review by : Karin O'Malley on 29/03/2005 Nice rooms but very small. Our window did not close properly and room was very noisy. The first room they showed us had no curtains (being cleaned)so no privacy. Guest rating : 6/10
Recent review by : Elaine and Roger Haydock on 21/12/2004 We were very pleased with the Tulip Washington Opera. Our room was quite pleasant and very clean and quiet. The front desk staff and the maids were exceptionally nice and very responsive to our needs. We stayed for 3 nights and would most definitely stay there again. The location was also wonderful! Guest rating : 10/10
Recent review by : Ben & Kim Ewers on 06/12/2004 My wife and I stayed 4 nights over the USA holiday of Thanksgiving. Rooms were very clean and fresh, small by USA standards but roomy by comparison with others we've stayed at in Paris. The hotel staff was great, English spoken. The front desk was staffed 7X24 for added security. The location was great, with the Louvre and numerous restaurants close by. We would stay again, especially at the rate provided by the web site. We also used the airport shuttle, round trip, and the service was very professional: on-time at both the airport and hotel, and they called the hotel a day before the return trip as a reminder. Recent review by : Traveller from Finland on 05/12/2003 We stayed three nights in the Golden Tulip Washington. We had a superior room for two adults and a baby.
The hotel was nice, clean and apparently recently renovated. The room was spacious and service was polite and hotel was well staffed. We had breakfast in the hotel - the breakfast was comparatively good, but a bit pricey.
The location of the hotel is superb. Walking distance from both the Louvre and Lafaytte & Printemps departmentstores.
Would return to this hotel on our next trip to Paris.
The 'www.france-hotels.net' service swift and reliable, and we had no problems with our reservation or with the prices agreed. We had special arrangements (due to the baby) and these were well handled both by 'www.france-hotels.net' and the hotel.
I would use 'www.france-hotels.net' service again. Guest rating : 9/10
Recent review by : Norma Menzies on 19/11/2003 Our room seemed a little small and didn't look like any of the pictures on the website, but was comfortable. The quality of fixtures and fittings was good, although the shower wasn't great and there was no armchair in our room to let you sit and read. The plumbing was also rather noisy. Good location though and the discounted price we paid made it good value, but if we had paid the full rate I think I would have been a little disappointed in comparison to other 4 * hotels I have stayed in. Recent review by : Terry Slegr on 13/11/2003 I wish your comments would be shown to the hotel because the staff would be happy to hear that my father and I were very pleased with our stay at the Washington Hotel Opera. The hotel is one we will recommend to friends and family in the future.
The classic design, impeccable cleanliness, and the friendly staff at the Front Desk all created a charming atmosphere. I wish I had taken a card (so I had his name to mention here) for the extremely nice young man who was on the Front Desk at night. He served me and my father wonderful hot chocolate and decaf coffee in the lobby, which we thought was such a hospitable gesture.
Overall, excellent!

Recent review by : Sean P Hyaward on 02/10/2003 After a poor start (very noisy room, no curtains etc) I was moved to another room. Remainder of stay was excellent. Will certainly use this hotel again in Paris. Guest rating : 9/10
Recent review by : Elfie Taylor on 11/08/2003 The Washington Opera Hotel is at a great location with easy walking distance to almost any cultural site in Paris. The service is friendly and helpful. At breakfast one gets the best cafe au lait in France. I have recommended the Washington Opera to my family and friends and will stay there again next time I visit Paris. Guest rating : 9/10
Recent review by : Hung on 24/04/2003 I stayed 3 nights booking 2 rooms both doubles.
The hotel was well decorated and very clean. The staff were polite and very helpful. It is situated in a fabulous location close to the Louvre, Palais Royale and the River Seine. Everything was within easy walking distance. It was great and I would return and stay in the hotel again.

Recent review by : JAY EDMUND WILLIAMS on 18/04/2003 I stayed at the Cavendish in London and 2 nights with a tour at the Ambassador in Paris, followed by 3 nights at the Golden Tulip Washington. I preferred the Golden Tulip over the others. Dealing with the people in reception was much more personable. They were gracious and very helpful in arranging tours, airport transportation, etc. The rooms are very nice and comfortable, and I thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant for morning breakfast. The entire hotel has a very intimate feeling. And of course, the location is absolutely - a five minute walk to the Louvre and the underground. When I return to Paris, this will be my hotel of choice. Immediately upon my return I emailed several of my friends to tell them about the Golden Tulip. Guest rating : 9/10
Recent review by : Mrs Sharon Berger on 18/02/2003 The hotel was in a very convenient location. We had a standard room which was clean and nicely decorated. The staff were friendly and efficient. Would return to the hotel if going to Paris again and would use the services of France Hotel.net again. Guest rating : 8/10 (add review)
