The hotel was great! When we got to the hotel, we were quite tired from travelling, but we were pleasantly greeted at the front desk and welcomed. We had informed the hotel that we were on our honeymoon and they did not dissapoint us at all. we were immediately informed that they were going to upgrade our room to a suite on the seventh floor. The next surprise came just a few minutes later when a knock on our door produced a bellman with a bowl of fresh fruit compliments of the hotel. Our room had a sitting area with a pullout couch,along with a small hall separating the bedroom from the wonderful bathroom. This hotel is in my opinion is situated in a perfect location. The area is full of neon lighted restaurants as well as THE BEST bakery in Paris is right across the road. I couldn't wait for breakfast each morning to go to this bakery and devour one of their fresh lemon or custard tarts.Their baguettes were THE BEST i have ever eaten. Great for picking up a ham and cheese and walking the streets. If you are in need of a dry cleaner,or if you've been shopping and need to alter a pair of pants(which i did)there happens to be a tailor right across the road. How perfect. This guy alters all the clothes for the stores in the neighbourhood. Also you are steps to the subway which was very convenient and easy to use. As far as the staff goes at the hotel for the most part they were very helpful and friendly. But one thing you should note is that if you ask for a restaurant to go to BEWARE. Most of the time they will steer you to a middle of the road duck restaurant where it is most likely someone is getting a kickback. I did give them a name of a restaurant that we found on our own around three or four blocks from the hotel(le parc aux cerfs). This is one to try for sure and not pricey. Another absolute must is a crepe place i read about in a magazine. You must pay stict attention to the name and address as there are about ten or more crepe places on this street. This was NOT your typical crepe. It was a buckwheat crepe with cheese melted inside, folded with bacon and eggs on top. Name of the place is CREPERIE DE JOSSELIN 67 rue du MONTPARNASSE. The street that it is on has the same name as the main street it is of of, so be sure to ask how to get there. I loved this hotel and the neighbourhood as it was not touristy and the shopping in the stores for the most part was not out of reach. I can't wait to stay there again.
